TECHNICAL BUYER QUESTIONS
Serviceable flooded lead-acid batteries may require top-up water. Sealed AGM, GEL, VRLA and maintenance-free designs should not be opened or watered unless their manufacturer explicitly says otherwise.
Follow the exact battery manual and site procedure. Some flooded traction-battery instructions call for topping up near the end of charge or after charging, but the correct timing and level depend on the battery design.
They describe different treatment routes. For procurement, accept water against the impurity limits or standard required by the battery maker—not the label alone.
Share the battery type and maker, required water limits, delivery location, expected monthly volume, container preference and order frequency.
