Before you specify battery water.
Which industrial batteries may need top-up water?
Serviceable flooded lead-acid batteries may require top-up water. Sealed AGM, GEL, VRLA and maintenance-free designs should not be opened or watered unless their manufacturer explicitly says otherwise.
When should water be added to a flooded battery?
Follow the exact battery manual and site procedure. Some flooded traction-battery instructions call for topping up near the end of charge or after charging, but the correct timing and level depend on the battery design.
Is DM water the same as distilled or deionized water?
They describe different treatment routes. For procurement, accept water against the impurity limits or standard required by the battery maker—not the label alone.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Share the battery type and maker, required water limits, delivery location, expected monthly volume, container preference and order frequency.
Is this water for drinking or food use?
No. RYA DM is presented here only as an industrial product. Drinking-water, food and health uses require separate classification and approval.
